IMODS current agenda includes the following:
1. The development of the block bordered by Lincoln Avenue, Brown Street, and
Floral and Cleveland Avenues.
2. Identifying a location for a multi-tier cost efficient parking structure in
the downtown area.
3. The creation of a free Trolley service throughout the downtown area with
links between Oakton Community College, the Illinois Science + Technology Park,
and the Skokie Swift and Metra rail stations.
4. The creation of a free access outdoor Wi-Fi zone throughout downtown Skokie.
This initial proposal is now being examined by Skokie's Information Technology
department.
5. The creation of Themed Art and Sculpture throughout the downtown area with
the goal of branding the entire downtown district. IMODS is currently working
with certain property owners to provide space for artists to work and display
their art.
